This role will focus on installation, deployment and operation (system administration) of RedHat Linux infrastructure for core banking business units and technical 2nd Level support:
• L2 support (incident-, problem-, change-management) of high available Linux-based server systems and integration of software components
• Operation of test-, integration and production-infrastructure for Red Hat Linux (RHEL) and SUN Solaris based applications
• Planning and execution of maintenance on Unix systems, including deployment of new operating system releases and layer 2 (Middleware) components
• Support for integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production
• Installation, configuration and root cause analysis with storage management tools (VxVM, VxFS, LVM)
• Quality assurance and acceptance tests for Unix systems, standard builds and software components
• Root cause analysis and implementation of balanced solutions
• Execute disaster recovery (DR) tests in cooperation with application support teams
• Build, revise and update technical documentation

Qualifications
• You have a degree in Engineering/Compute/IT related discipline with 5-10 years of meaningful experience
• You are an exceptional expert in Linux system administration in enterprise environments
• You have hands on experience with Vmware, Satellite, OpenShift or similar products
• You have practical experience in incident-, problem and change management, including root cause analysis
• You have strong analytical and strategic abilities with proven implementation skills
• You are eligible to participate in occasional weekend work and work outside office hours
• You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management and other partners
• You have leadership traits in terms of guiding/mentoring and effectively collaborating with the team towards delivery of team objectives
• You have fluent English language skills (spoken and written), German is an advantage
Desirable:
• You have proficiency in Scripting & Automation (PERL, Java, JavaScript, Python)
• You have ITIL process understanding
